Hugh Yarrow

Fund Manager

Hugh is the lead portfolio manager of Evenlode Income, the UK Equity Income fund he launched in October 2009.

Hugh graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first class degree in philosophy and mathematics in 2002. From 2002 to 2009 he worked as an investment manager on several equity income funds at Rathbone Unit Trust Management. Hugh is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and holds the Investment Management Certificate.

Ben Peters

Fund Manager

Ben has been co-manager of the Evenlode Income fund since 2012 having been the fund’s analyst since its launch in 2009. Ben is also the lead manager on the Evenlode Global Income fund, launched in November 2017.

As a complement to his research Ben is actively engaged with the financial community, interacting with the IASB, EFRAG and others as a member of the Corporate Reporting User’s Forum. 

Ben is a member of the CFA Society of the UK and has passed Level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst programme. He also holds the Certificate in Financial Planning and the Investment Management Certificate. Previously a physicist, in 2008 he was awarded a doctorate from the University of Oxford in the field of nanoelectronics.

Away from the office Ben is an amateur athlete, participating in cycling events and triathlons. He also enjoys music and is an occasional DJ.

Chris Elliott

Fund Manager and Investment Analyst

Chris joined the Investment Management team in March 2015, having previously completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) examinations. Chris is an investment analyst for the Evenlode Income fund and co-manager for the Evenlode Global Income fund.

With a background in economics, having received an MA from Cambridge University, and computer programming, previously a Senior Software Engineer at Oxford University Press; Chris primarily produces detailed fundamental analysis of companies and industries. This ranges from the quantitative analysis of financial ratios and valuations, to the qualitative analysis of business strategy and competitive advantages. 

Further to this, Chris is responsible for the management and development of the investment data produced. This includes detailed ongoing reviews of the analytical process to further improve the use of data and our valuation models.

Chris Moore

Research Manager

Chris joined Evenlode Investment Management in February 2018 having previously been an equity research analyst at Investec Bank and Berenberg. Before that he worked in audit, M&A due diligence and restructuring at Deloitte and PwC.

Chris is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and studied Accounting and Finance at Warwick University.

Sawan Kumar

Stewardship Analyst

Sawan joined the Evenlode Investment team as a Stewardship Analyst in 2017 after having previously worked as a Governance Analyst at Schroders and a Proxy Voting Analyst at Hermes EOS. He is responsible for providing ongoing analysis of companies from a stewardship perspective and managing Evenlode’s voting and engagement activity.
 
Sawan graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelors of Commerce specialising in Finance and is qualified from the Governance Institute of Australia in Governance and Risk and Management. He is working towards completing the Investment Management Certificate after having passed Unit 1.

Bethan Rose

Trainee Investment Analyst

Bethan joined the Evenlode team in April 2018 as Trainee Investment Analyst.

She previously worked in a client accountancy role for a student accommodation consultancy preparing month end packs, and ensuring a smooth day to day financial run of UK and Portuguese student accommodation sites. 

Bethan graduated from the University of Exeter in 2016 and holds a BSc in Economics. She is currently working towards her Investment Management Certificate. 

Nicole Harrington

COO & Compliance Manager

Nicole joined the Investment Management team in January of 2016 as its fund operations manager. Nicole brings to Evenlode over thirty years of experience in both retail banking and investment management.

Her last appointment was head of investment management operations with private bankers Arbuthnot Latham. Prior to this she was the asset services manager at Legal and General Investment Management, and the reconciliations manager at Gartmore Fund Managers. 

David Hopkins

Fund Operations & Business Development Manager

David joined Evenlode in May 2016 to lead the business development strategy and projects. 

David is particularly keen to ensure the funds receive an excellent administration service, allowing the fund managers and analysts to concentrate on fund management and investment research.

David has a law degree from Durham University, and completed his Legal Practice Course at York College of Law. David is a qualified accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. He also holds the Investment Administration Qualification.

Before joining Evenlode, David was a project manager at T. Bailey Fund Services, which involved managing regulated fund launches and transfers, as well as acting as a relationship manager for a number of clients. 

Callum McPherson

Dealer & Fund Administrator

Callum joined the Investment Management team in March 2015 and is responsible for the dealing and administration of the funds. A particular area of interest is financial market analysis.

Callum came to Evenlode with a BEng in Aerospace Engineering from Leicester University. Whilst at Evenlode Callum has passed the Investment Operations Certificate, and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments..

Amy Yelland

Business Manager

Amy joined Evenlode back in December 2016 and is now Business Manager for the Evenlode team.

She previously worked in the Houses of Parliament as a Senior Parliamentary Assistant, running an MP's office and helping him write speeches, draft Parliamentary questions and tackle constituency casework.

Amy has an MA in Politics from the University of Manchester and has gained the Introduction to Investment certificate. She is currently studying for the Chartered Secretaries Qualifying Scheme (CSQS).

Sarah Dudfield

Business Assistant

Sarah joined Evenlode in January 2018 as Business Assistant.

In the past Sarah has worked in numerous roles of administration, customer service and accounting.

Sarah was very proud to be treasurer for Emma’s Trust, a local charity which used to be based in Chipping Norton in memory of Emma Curtis-Smith, who sadly died at the tender age of 18 following an asthma attack, the Trust awarded over £100,000.00 in grants to local children who had a passion for the performing arts, just like Emma.

Sarah is currently working towards gaining the Introduction to Investment certificate.

Outside of work Sarah has a passion for wildlife and photography.
