The Evenlode Team
Hugh Yarrow is the co-founder of Evenlode and is the lead Portfolio Manager of Evenlode Income, having launched the fund in October 2009. He previously managed several equity income funds at Rathbone Unit Trust Management.
Hugh graduated from Edinburgh University with a first-class degree in Philosophy and Mathematics. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Ben Peters co-founded Evenlode and is the lead Portfolio Manager on the Evenlode Global Income strategy team. He has been an Investment Analyst for Evenlode Income since the fund launched in 2009 and became co-manager in December 2012.
Ben holds a doctorate from Oxford University and a first-class degree from UCL, both in the field of physics. He holds the Investment Management Certificate and has also passed the CFA Level 1 exam.
Chris Elliott is a Portfolio Manager on the Evenlode Global Equity and Global Income strategies teams and joined Evenlode in 2015. Prior to Evenlode, Chris worked as a senior software engineer.
Chris graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Mathematics and Economics. He is a fully qualified Chartered Financial Analyst.
James Knoedler is a Portfolio Manager on the Evenlode Global Equity strategies team and joined Evenlode in 2020. He previously worked as an Analyst at Independent Franchise Partners, Arisaig Partners and Newlands Investment Management.
James graduated from Oxford University with a first-class degree in English and holds a master’s degree in finance from the London Business School.
Chris Moore is a Portfolio Manager on the Evenlode Income fund, is Head of Research, and joined Evenlode in 2018. He previously worked as an Equity Research Analyst at Investec Bank and Berenberg. Prior to that he worked in audit, M&A due diligence and restructuring at Deloitte and PwC.
Chris graduated from Warwick University having studied Accounting and Finance. He is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Chartered Financial Analyst.
Sawan Wadhwa is Head of Stewardship responsible for implementing the stewardship strategy and integrating it into the investment process. He also sits on Evenlode Foundation’s Committee the aim of which is to empower communities to address global challenges in a sustainable and scalable manner through charitable donations. He joined Evenlode in 2017. He previously held analyst positions at Schroders and Federated Hermes.
Sawan graduated from Flinders University with a BComm (Finance) and is qualified from the Governance Institute of Australia in Governance and Risk Management. He has completed the Climate-related Financial Risk Course from Oxford University and has passed the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
Bethan Rose is a Sustainable Investment Analyst on the Stewardship team responsible for helping to drive the Evenlode portfolios’ net zero strategy and joined Evenlode in 2018.
Bethan graduated from Exeter University with a BSc in Economics. She has gained the Investment Management Certificate and the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG investing and has also passed the CFA Level 1 exam.
Rebekah Nash is a Governance Analyst on the Stewardship team focusing on voting and engagement issues alongside broader governance structures and joined Evenlode in 2022. She previously worked as a programme manager in the VC and impact space with a focus on clean tech and the reduction of carbon emissions through innovation.
Rebekah graduated from Bristol University with a BA (Hons) in Theology and from Cambridge University with an MPhil in Theology.
Lily Postlethwaite is a Stewardship Analyst focusing on understanding climate-related risks within our investable universe, with a particular emphasis on measuring, monitoring, and reducing the emissions intensity of our portfolios. She joined Evenlode in 2023. She was previously an Investment Manager at Whitley Asset Management.
Lily graduated from King's College London with a BA in English Language and Linguistics. She holds the Investment Management Certificate, the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG investing and has also passed the CFA Level 1 exam.
Tom Weller is the Head of Innovation responsible for examining innovation across diverse industries and application areas. He draws on his broad scientific and business experience to analyse developments at large incumbent and new start-up companies, informing the investment team’s analysis of current and potential investment risks and opportunities. He joined Evenlode in 2019. He previously worked in academia, government and start-up labs and has deep experience of scientific research, innovation and education.
Tom graduated from UCL with an MSc in Physics and Space Science and holds a PhD in Condensed Matter and Materials Physics from UCL and Cambridge University.
Phoebe Greenwold is an Investment Analyst on the Evenlode Global Income strategies team and joined Evenlode in 2022. She previously worked at PwC and has experience auditing a broad range of banking and capital markets clients.
Phoebe graduated from Exeter University with a first-class Liberal Arts degree (Major: International Relations, Minor Development Economics), and is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA).
Robert Strachan is an Investment Analyst on the Evenlode Global Income strategies team and joined Evenlode in 2019.
Robert graduated from Oxford University with a first-class master's degree in Chemistry. He has gained the Investment Management Certificate and has passed the CFA Level 1 exam.
Charlotte Lamb is an Investment Analyst on the Evenlode Income fund and joined Evenlode in 2019.
Charlotte graduated from Bath University with a BSc Hons in Accounting and Finance. She has gained the Investment Management Certificate, and is currently studying for CFA Level 3.
Cristina Dyer is an Investment Analyst on the Evenlode Global Equity strategies team and joined Evenlode in 2020. She has over 10 years’ experience in analytical roles and began her career in medical sciences before moving to finance.
Cristina holds a doctorate in Immunology from Oxford University, a first-class degree in Pharmacy from Bath University and is a CFA Charterholder.
Leon Cyril is an Investment Analyst on the Evenlode Income fund and joined Evenlode in 2020. He previously worked in the education and publishing sectors, as well as interning at the Investment Association.
Leon graduated from Oxford University with an MA in Classics, he holds the Investment Management Certificate and is currently studying for CFA Level 2.
Gurinder Samra is an Investment Analyst on the Evenlode Global Equity strategies team and joined Evenlode in 2021. He previously completed internships within sales and trading, management consultancy and accountancy.
Gurinder graduated from Warwick University with a BEng and is currently studying for CFA Level 1.
Ben Armitage is an Investment Analyst on the Evenlode Global Income strategies team and joined Evenlode in 2021. He was previously a VC Investment Analyst, predominantly assessing UK-based early-stage science and tech start-ups spinning out of academia.
Ben graduated from Huddersfield University with an MChem and from Oxford University with a PhD in Materials Science.
Samuel Ratcliffe is a Junior Investment Analyst having completed an apprenticeship in 2022 after joining Evenlode in 2020. He is currently participating in a rotation across all the Evenlode funds, broadening his knowledge of the investable universe.
Samuel has completed the L4 Operations Specialist Apprenticeship and is currently studying for CFA Level 1.
Rob Harris is Chief Executive Officer and joined Evenlode in May 2024 having been appointed to the Board a year earlier as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He was previously CEO and co-founder of Majedie Asset Management. Prior to that he was a director and fund manager at Mercury Asset Management (now BlackRock).
Rob graduated from Durham University with a BA (Hons) in Classics and is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals (now CFA UK).
Nicole Harrington is the Chief Operating Officer and joined Evenlode in 2016. She was previously Head of Investment Management Operations with private bankers Arbuthnot Latham. Prior to that she was the Asset Services Manager at Legal and General Investment Management, and the Reconciliations Manager at Gartmore Fund Managers.
Nicole brings over thirty years of experience in both retail banking and investment management to Evenlode.
Amanda Sullivan is the Chief Financial Officer and joined Evenlode in 2017. She was previously Chief Financial Officer for Wise Investment. As well as many years’ experience in the financial services industry, she has worked in accountancy practice, and in management accountancy roles in various industries including IT, design and hospitality.
David Hopkins is the Operations Manager responsible for leading operational projects and managing relationships with key fund partners and joined Evenlode in 2016. He was previously a project manager and senior fund accountant at T. Bailey Fund Services and was heavily involved in the project to launch the Evenlode Income fund in 2009. Prior to that, David qualified as a Chartered Accountant in KPMG’s Nottingham Corporation Tax department.
David graduated from Durham University with a law degree and completed his Legal Practice Course at York College of Law. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and also holds the Investment Administration Qualification.
Richard Taylor is the Compliance Officer and joined Evenlode in 2020. He was previously the Compliance Director at T. Bailey Fund Services and T. Bailey Asset Management, and an Audit Senior at Deloitte.
Richard graduated from Warwick University Business School with a first-class degree in Management Sciences. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds the Institute of Directors Certificate in Company Direction along with the CISI Investment Administration Qualification. He is currently studying for the CISI Certificate in Investment Management.
Callum McPherson is Head of Dealing. He focuses on financial market analysis, best execution and investment risk oversight, and joined Evenlode in 2015.
Callum graduated from Leicester University with a BEng in Aerospace Engineering. He has also completed the Advanced Certificate in Global Securities Operations and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
Amy Hepworth-Bell is the Business Manager responsible for all HR and company secretary responsibilities and joined Evenlode in 2016. Previously she worked in the Houses of Parliament as a Senior Parliamentary Assistant.
Amy graduated from Leicester University with a BA in Politics and from Manchester University with an MA in Politics. She has completed the IMC and is currently studying for her Diploma in People Management with the CIPD.
Frankie Christy is the Presentation and Content Manager and joined Evenlode in 2021. She was previously the Client Reporting and Marketing Manager at International Asset Management and a Technical Marketing Manager at GAM. She also held administrative positions in credit and retail banking.
Frankie graduated from UMIST (Manchester University) with a first-class BSc Hons in Marketing and Management Sciences and has completed the IMC.
Emma Buckard is the Finance Manager and joined Evenlode in 2022. She previously held roles in accountancy practice, the retail sector, and the construction industry, and has broad range of experience across management accounting and the management of finance departments.
Emma is a qualified Accountant with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants.
Alex Boronkay is a Dealer working alongside the Head of Dealing within best execution and joined Evenlode in 2022. He was previously an Equity Trader for FinClear Execution in Australia and has worked within foreign exchange risk management companies in the UK.
Alex graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance, and holds an MSc in Applied Economics with Banking and Financial Markets from Bath University.
Sarah Dudfield is a Business Assistant and joined Evenlode in 2017. She previously worked in numerous administration, customer service and accounting roles. Sarah was also very proud to be treasurer for Emma’s Trust, a local charity which used to be based in Chipping Norton in memory of Emma Curtis-Smith, who sadly died at 18 following an asthma attack. The Trust awarded over £100,000 in grants to local children who had a passion for the performing arts, just like Emma.
Sarah has gained the Introduction to Investment Certificate.
Beth Johnson is the Finance Assistant and joined Evenlode in 2021. She previously worked as the Finance Assistant for Wise Investment Ltd.
Beth graduated from Essex University with a degree in Linguistics with French and German. She is a qualified lawyer and has experience of both managing and chairing countywide charities.
Anne Adams is an IT and Business Assistant and joined Evenlode in 2021. She previously worked as an IT Assistant for Wise Investment Ltd.
Anne has a completed a level 3 IT infrastructure technician apprenticeship and has the ITIL foundation certification.
Jecca Tetley is an Operations Apprentice working on a 4-year degree-based programme focusing on the marketing and dealing aspects of the business. She joined Evenlode in 2023.
Jecca successfully completed A levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and is studying for a BSc in Applied Finance from Exeter University. She attained her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award in 2022.
Arun Chapell is a Compliance Apprentice working on a 4-year degree-based programme and joined Evenlode in 2023
Arun successfully completed A levels in Maths, Physics and Biology and is studying for a BSc in Applied Finance from Exeter University.
John Cooke is a Business Analyst responsible for analysing technological business solutions and joined Evenlode in 2022. He previously worked for Evenlode as an external consultant whilst running an agile software development consultancy business. He has a wealth of experience from over thirty years in the software industry working across a range of sectors from finance to leisure and logistics.
John graduated from Warwick University with a first-class degree in Computer Science and is currently studying for an MSc in Artificial Intelligence at Bath University.
Chris Clarke is Head of Technology responsible for the development and support of EDDIE and joined Evenlode in 2021. He brings over twenty-five years of experience in software development and management having worked in utilities, retail, and most recently the automotive sector.
Chris has gained the Introduction to Investment Certificate.
Abdullah Hussain is a Software Engineer working on advancing the internal software programme EDDIE and joined Evenlode in 2022. He previously worked with FNZ as an analyst and developer, where he created a wealth management platform that is offered as a service.
Abdullah graduated from Aston University with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and a Masters in Computer Science.
Redner Nogueira is a Software Engineer and joined Evenlode in 2023. He brings over 15 years of experience in software architecture and development having worked in digital agency, city council management software, and most recently distribution systems for worldwide vessels monitoring.
Redner graduated from UNICAMP, Brazil with a Bachelor of Computer Science from, and has a Masters degree from Politecnico di Torino, Italy.
Mohammed Choudhury is a Software Engineer working on advancing the internal software programme EDDIE and joined Evenlode in 2024. He brings over 8 years of experience in Desktop Applications and Systems Architecture having previously worked on a sophisticated process monitoring system for Additive Manufacturing.
Mohammed graduated from the Exeter University with a BSc in Digital Technology and Solutions - Software Specialism.
