The Evenlode Team
Hugh Yarrow is the co-founder of Evenlode and is the lead Fund Manager of Evenlode Income, having launched the fund in October 2009. Previously he managed several equity income funds at Rathbone Unit Trust Management.
Hugh graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first-class degree in Philosophy and Mathematics. He is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
Ben Peters is the co-founder of Evenlode and is the lead Fund Manager on the TB Evenlode Global Income Fund. He is also co-manager of TB Evenlode Income. He has been the investment analyst for TB Evenlode Income since the fund launched and became co-manager in December 2012.
Ben holds a doctorate from the University of Oxford and a first-class degree from University College London, both in the field of physics. He holds the Investment Management Certificate and has passed level I of the Chartered Financial Analyst programme.
Chris Elliott is a fund manager on the Evenlode Global Income strategy, which launched in 2017, and on the TB Evenlode Global Equity fund, which launched in 2020.
Chris is a fully qualified Chartered Financial Analyst and has a degree from the University of Cambridge in Mathematics and Economics. Prior to Evenlode, Chris worked as a senior software engineer.
James Knoedler joined Evenlode in 2020 as a Fund Manager. He previously worked as an Equities Analyst at Independent Franchise Partners (IFP). Before that he worked as an Investment Analyst at Arisaig Partners and Newlands Investment Management.
James graduated from Oxford University with a first class degree in English and holds a Masters degree in Finance from the London Business School.
Chris Moore joined Evenlode in 2018 as Head of Research and is a Fund Manager on the Evenlode Income fund. He previously worked as an Equity Research Analyst at Investec Bank and Berenberg. Before that he worked in audit, M&A due diligence and restructuring at Deloitte and PwC.
Chris graduated from Warwick University having studied Accounting and Finance. He is a fully qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Sawan Kumar joined Evenlode in 2017 and is Head of Stewardship. He is responsible for providing ongoing analysis of companies from a stewardship perspective and managing Evenlode’s voting and engagement activity. He previously worked as a Governance Analyst at Schroders and a Proxy Voting Analyst at Hermes EOS.
Sawan graduated from Flinders University with a Bachelors of Commerce specialising in Finance and is qualified from the Governance Institute of Australia in Governance and Risk Management. He has completed the Climate-related Financial Risk Course from Oxford University and has passed the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.
Bethan Rose joined Evenlode in 2018 as an Investment Analyst.
Bethan graduated from the University of Exeter with a BSc in Economics. She has gained the Investment Management Certificate and the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG investing. She has also passed the CFA Level 1 exam and is currently working towards the CFA UK Certificate in Climate and Investing.
Rebekah Nash joined Evenlode in 2022 as a Governance Analyst.
She previously worked as a programme manager in the VC and impact space with a focus on clean tech and the reduction of carbon emissions through innovation. Rebekah graduated from Cambridge University with a MPhil in Theology in 2021 and she has a BA (Hons) in Theology from the University of Bristol.
Tom Weller joined Evenlode in 2019 as an Innovation Analyst examining innovation across diverse industries and application areas. He draws on his broad scientific and business experience to analyse developments at large incumbent and new start-up companies, informing the Evenlode team’s analysis of current and potential investment risks and opportunities. He previously worked in academia, government and start-up labs and has deep experience of scientific research, innovation and education.
Tom holds a PhD in condensed matter physics and materials science.
Phoebe Greenwold joined Evenlode in 2022 as an Impact and Innovation Analyst. She previously worked at PwC and has experience auditing a broad range of banking and capital markets clients.
Phoebe is a qualified
chartered accountant (ACA) and graduated from the University of Exeter with a
first-class degree in International Relations and Development Economics.
Robert Strachan joined Evenlode in 2019 having previously worked with the team as an intern in the summer of 2018 and is an Investment Analyst.
Robert graduated from the University of Oxford with a first-class master's degree in Chemistry. He has gained the Investment Management Certificate and is a fully qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Charlotte Lamb joined Evenlode in 2019 and is an Investment Analyst.
Charlotte graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc Hons in Accounting and Finance. She has gained the Investment Management Certificate and is currently studying for the CFA Level 1 exam.
Cristina Dyer joined Evenlode in 2020 as an Investment Analyst. She completed her Evenlode graduate rotation and permanently joined the Global Equity Team in 2023.
Cristina holds a doctorate in Immunology from the University of Oxford, and a first-class degree in Pharmacy from the University of Bath. She has completed Level I and Level II of the CFA programme.
Leon Cyril joined Evenlode in 2020 as an Investment Analyst, after completing an internship at the Investment Association. He previously worked in the education and publishing sectors.
Leon graduated from Oxford University with an MA in Classics, he holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and has completed Level I of the CFA programme.
Gurinder Samra joined Evenlode in 2021 as a Trainee Investment Analyst, having worked with the team as an intern in the same summer. He previously completed internships across management consulting, accountancy and global markets technology.
Gurinder graduated from Warwick University with an BEng in Engineering and is currently working towards the Investment Management Certificate.
Ben Armitage joined Evenlode in 2021 as a Trainee Investment Analyst.
Ben graduated from the University of Oxford with a PhD in materials science. He previously worked as a VC Investment Analyst, predominantly assessing UK-based early-stage science and tech start-ups spinning out of academia.
Sam Ratcliffe joined Evenlode in 2020 on an Apprenticeship programme. He completed the programme in 2022 working in the Operations team as a Junior Dealer for a couple of years. In 2023 he moved over to the Investment Team and started a new role as a Junior Investment Analyst.
Sam completed his L4 Operations Specialist Apprenticeship in April 2022 and Unit 1 of the Investment Management Certificate in December 2022.
Nicole Harrington joined Evenlode in 2016 and is Evenlode's Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining Evenlode she was Head of Investment Management Operations with private bankers Arbuthnot Latham. Previously she was the Asset Services Manager at Legal and General Investment Management, and the Reconciliations Manager at Gartmore Fund Managers.
Nicole brings over thirty years of experience in both retail banking and investment management to Evenlode.
Amanda Sullivan joined Evenlode as Chief Financial Officer in 2017. She previously worked for Wise Investment firstly as Accounts Controller from 2004 and then promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer which she held from 2015 to 2021.
Amanda has worked in accountancy practice and in management accountancy roles in various industries including IT, Design and Hospitality. She now has over 17 years of experience working in the financial services industry.
David Hopkins joined Evenlode in 2016 as an Operations Manager and leads the business development strategy and projects. Prior to joining Evenlode he was a Project Manager at T. Bailey Fund Services, which involved managing regulated fund launches and transfers, as well as acting as a relationship manager for a number of clients.
David graduated from Durham University with a law degree and completed his Legal Practice Course at York College of Law. He is a qualified accountant, is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and also holds the Investment Administration Qualification.
Richard Taylor joined Evenlode in 2020 and is Evenlode's Compliance Officer. Prior to joining Evenlode he was Compliance Director at T. Bailey Fund Services and T. Bailey Asset Management, where he was heavily involved with the launch and oversight of multiple investment funds along with the implementation of numerous regulatory change projects. Previously he was an Audit Senior at Deloitte’s Audit practice in Nottingham where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Richard graduated from Warwick University Business School with a first-class degree in Management Sciences. He holds the Institute of Directors Certificate in Company Direction along with the CISI Investment Administration Qualification and he is currently studying for the CISI Certificate in Investment Management.
Callum McPherson joined Evenlode in 2015 as Dealing Manager and has a particular interest in financial market analysis.
Callum graduated from Leicester University with a BEng in Aerospace Engineering. He has also completed the Advanced Certificate in Global Securities Operations and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
Amy Hepworth-Bell joined Evenlode in December 2016 and is now Business Manager for the Evenlode team. She previously worked in the Houses of Parliament as a Senior Parliamentary Assistant.
Amy has an MA in Politics from the University of Manchester and has gained Level 1 of the Investment Management Certificate.
Frankie Christy joined Evenlode in 2021 as a Presentation & Content Manager. Prior to joining Evenlode she was a Client Reporting and Marketing Manager at International Asset Management. Previously she was a Technical Marketing Manager at GAM and held a few other financial administration roles prior to that.
Frankie graduated with a First Class BSc Hons in Marketing and Management Sciences from UMIST (Manchester University) and has over 30 years of investment marketing and reporting experience.
Emma Buckard joined Evenlode in 2022 as a Finance Manager.
She qualified as an Accountant with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2009 and has broad experience in Management Accounting and the management of a Finance Department. Emma started her career in accountancy practice, then spent 15 years within the Retail sector, before moving to the construction industry where she held a pivotal role in restructuring and growing the Finance team.
Emma enjoys being the treasurer and organiser for her Village Annual Show and helping in various local community events.
Alex Boronkay joined Evenlode in 2022 as a Junior Dealer.
Alex graduated from the Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor of Business majoring in Finance. In Australia Alex was an Equity Dealer for FinClear Execution and has worked within Foreign Exchange risk management in the UK. He is currently working towards his MSc in Applied Economics at the University of Bath.
Sarah Dudfield joined Evenlode as a Business Assistant. Prior to joining Evenlode she worked in numerous administration, customer service and accounting roles. Sarah was also very proud to be treasurer for Emma’s Trust, a local charity which used to be based in Chipping Norton in memory of Emma Curtis-Smith, who sadly died at 18 following an asthma attack. The Trust awarded over £100,000 in grants to local children who had a passion for the performing arts, just like Emma.
Sarah has gained the Introduction to Investment Certificate.
Beth Johnson joined Evenlode in 2021, having previously worked as Finance Assistant for Wise Investment Ltd, and works closely with Amanda Sullivan.
Beth graduated from the University of Essex with a degree in Linguistics with French and German. She is a qualified lawyer and has experience of both managing and chairing countywide charities.
Anne Adams joined Evenlode in 2021 as the firm’s IT and Business Assistant. Prior to joining Evenlode she worked for Wise Investment Ltd as an IT assistant.
Anne has a completed a level 3 IT infrastructure technician apprenticeship and has the ITIL foundation certification.
Jecca Tetley joined Evenlode in September 2023 on a 4-year degree-based apprenticeship programme, she hopes to graduate with a BSc in Applied Finance from the University of Exeter. As an Operations Apprentice, Jecca will split her time between our marketing and dealing teams, learning the industry and building her knowledge of the business.
Jecca successfully completed A levels in Maths, Physics and Chemistry and also attained her Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award in 2022. She is a trained lifeguard and plays netball and hockey competitively.
Arun Chapell joined Evenlode in September 2023 on a 4-year degree-based apprenticeship programme, he hopes to graduate with a BSc in Applied Finance from the University of Exeter. As a Compliance Apprentice he will be working closely with our Compliance Manager, developing his knowledge of the industry and the Evenlode business.
Arun successfully completed A levels in Maths, Physics and Biology and spent a year working for Waitrose as a Duty Partner.
John Cooke joined Evenlode Investment Management as a Business Analyst in January 2022, having worked with the company as an external consultant for five years. He has a wealth of experience from over thirty years in the software industry working across a range of sectors from Finance to Leisure and Logistics.
He graduated with a first-class degree in Computer Science from Warwick University and ran an agile software development consultancy business for over twenty years.
Chris Clarke joined Evenlode as a Senior Software Engineer in late 2021. He brings twenty-five years of experience in software development and management having worked in utilities, retail, and most recently the automotive sector.
Chris has gained the Introduction to Investment Certificate.
Abdullah Hussain joined Evenlode in 2022 as a Software Engineer and is actively working on advancing the internal software programme EDDIE.
He previously worked with FNZ as an analyst and developer, where he created a wealth management platform that is offered as a service. Abdullah earned both his Bachelor’s in Biomedical Sciences and his Master’s in Computer Science from Aston University.
Flavia Torres joined Evenlode as a Senior Software Engineer in 2023. She has previously worked developing software for research simulations in academia and more recently in the e-commerce sector for the past 5 years.
She earned her Master’s in Electronic and Computing Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
