Evenlode’s employee-owned, multi-generational structure provides long-term stability for both its clients and the team.

Evenlode became employee-owned in 2013 when it was part of Wise Investment, an independent wealth management and advisory firm established in 1992. Evenlode remained part of the Wise Investment and Wise Funds group of companies for several years under a Partnership structure, but in 2021 the Partnership demerged, creating three employee-owned, independent companies.

Evenlode is now wholly owned by its employees via an Employee Ownership Trust. The Trust appoints a Board of Directors to run the company in the best interests of its employees.

Introducing Evenlode

Evenlode began in October 2009, when Hugh Yarrow and Ben Peters launched the Evenlode Income fund. Over the years, the company has steadily grown and invested incrementally in its people, systems, and processes. The company launched the Global Income strategy in November 2017 and the Global Equity strategy in July 2020.

Here, Hugh Yarrow introduces the long-term approach that Evenlode applies to investing, building the company and the teams, and developing client relationships.

    In 2024 Evenlode was granted B Corp status, undergoing a rigorous assessment process which evaluated our social and environmental performance, accountability, transparency, and legal structure.

    We have also made a legal commitment in our corporate governance structure to be accountable to and strive to have a positive impact on all of our stakeholders.

    Evenlode are proud to be part of a community that thinks business can and should be a force for good for people and the planet. There are now over 8,000 certified B Corporations globally, with over 2,000 in the UK.

    Employee Ownership Association (EOA)

    Evenlode became employee owned in 2013, putting the business in the hands of our people and underlying our commitment to long termism in everything we do.

    The Evenlode Employee Ownership Trust has total control of the company now and for the long-term. Beneficiaries of the Trust are all Evenlode Partners that have been a permanent employee for three years or more. The Trust does not run the company itself. Instead, it appoints a Board of Directors to run the company in the best interests of its Partners. The Board is answerable to the Trust.
